Berlin Mix Meetup

Flyer On Saturday, January 21st 2017 at Fuseroom Recording Studio we will host the exciting "Berlin Mix Meetup", an afternoon open to everyone into music production, recording, mixing and mastering to come and meet new people in the industry and be part of the music community in Berlin and abroad.

January 26th, 2017

The Berlin Mix Meetup is open to everyone related to music and audio: musicians, sound engineers for music or post, songwriters, producers, video editors, movie directors etc. Anyone can join and take part to the event.

So what makes this event unique? The great thing about the Mix Meetup is that you can sign up as either Lecturer or Audience.

LecturerAs a Lecturer you will be able to take audio material of any kind (from a file to an entire session) and teach, explain and analyse something you would like to show to your audience. It can be a mixing technique, a solution to a problem you had in a session or a particular and unique style you developed in the years, that makes your mixes different from the others.

You will be able to exchange ideas, be a mentor to others, show your skills as a professional, talk about your business and meet new people to work with in the future.

AudienceAs Audience you will be able to sit in the control room and watch the various Lecturers run their own workshop or masterclass. You will be able to take part in the discussion, ask questions and share your point of view, while joining a fun and productive day in which you will learn many new tricks and methods from fellow professionals.

It will be a great chance to meet new people, learn new approaches and build a larger network of professionals that share your passion.

What kind of workshop or masterclass can I expect from lecturers?

Some typical examples would include: mixing a song, how drums were recorded for a specific records, how synth tracks were blended with electric guitars, how the bass drum and bass relationship was achieved in a mix, how a song was mastered, how a video was edited or what kind of audio post production was done to meet broadcast standards, the specific and unique mix buss chain used in a mixing session, how wide heavy guitars were achieved in a record etc.

Is there going to be a session preparation for lecturers?

Yes. If a lecturer wants he/she can arrive one day early to test his session and make sure everything works. Info and details on the specifics of a session will be discussed in private with the studio and the lecturer.

Can I bring friends?

Yes, you are welcome to do so! However, please remember that each person has to sign up to the form below, individually.

I am in need of accommodation and/or transportation for the day of the event. Can you help me?

Of course we can. Once you sign up for the event we will contact you privately and discuss all the details for accommodation and/or transportation.
