Video Scoring

A program for musicians and arrangers of all kinds (some music composition and songwriting skills are required, along with a good knowledge of basic sequencing and hard disk recording). The course teaches the student how to write music for video: a challenging yet very rewarding approach that has become more and more famous in the last decade.

The student will learn how to decode the video message of a commercial, trailer, video game or full-lenght movie into a rhythmic pace for his/her musical ideas. By analising famous scoring works and the video they were composed for, this program will provide a better understanding of the industry and business behind this profession.

The course covers a number of topics related to the importance of an effective digital template, its virtual instruments and the methods to achieve a good method to translate musical ideas into sequenced tracks in the fastest and most instinctive way, to keep the musical content fresh and compelling.
