Subtitling & Closed-captioning

Subtitling is a translation practice (that consists of presenting a written text, generally on the lower part of the screen) of discursive elements (letters, inserts, graffiti, inscriptions, placards, and the like) and soundtrack (songs, voices off) in a video or image.
The course is designed for anyone wishing to learn the basics of subtitling using industry-standard software. The program covers normal subtitling, Subtitling for the hard-of-hearing or deaf (closed-captioning), SLS (Same Language Subtitling), used to fight illiteracy and voice-over translations.
